Skate Nights
Our next family fun night at Lakeshore Roller World is scheduled for Tuesday, November 21st. The cost per person is $5 with an additional cost for skate rentals (if necessary- you can bring your own skates). As with all family fun nights, ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SUPERVISING ADULT. Please DO NOT drop your child off as there is not scheduled supervision by school staff or PTO volunteers. Thank you!

All orders for Patricia Polacco books are due Wednesday, November 22nd. Books will be ordered through Forever Books and a bookplate, provided by Patricia, will be added to each book. They will be distributed the week of December 3rd. Link to Order Form
Dressing for the Weather
It’s beginning to feel a little more like fall outside. Please be sure to send your child to school dressed in layers. The temperatures during the day can vary greatly from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Students are expected to be prepared for the elements so that they can fully participate in all three recesses and wait outdoors comfortably and the beginning and end of the day. Thank you!
Student Safety
Our students' safety is a top priority, this includes arrival and dismissal times. It is everyone's responsibility to help keep our kids safe when coming and going to school. For this reason, adults are asked to:
Our students' safety is a top priority, this includes arrival and dismissal times. It is everyone's responsibility to help keep our kids safe when coming and going to school. For this reason, adults are asked to:
- Refrain from talking on cell phones while in our pick-up/drop-off lines.
- Pay close attention to other cars and pedestrians
- Actively attend to all of our procedures, including having children exit only from the passenger side next to the curb
- Pull up all the way to help load/unload as many cars as possible at a time
The safest way to come and go from school is in the pick-up lane or on the school bus. Parents are encouraged to remain in their car if at all possible and stay in the car lane. This helps eliminate foot traffic in the parking lot.
If you choose to park and cross traffic on foot, you are asked to hold your child's hand and walk in front of the line of cars, nearest the office entrance rather than through the line. For safety reasons, students are never allowed to proceed through the parking lot to the car alone. Thank you for your attention to this.
The Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you to all of those who supported our school Media Center by purchasing items. Money earned converts directly to new book purchases for our school library.
Santa Shoppe
As you know the Holiday season is fast approaching! We are offering a special opportunity for our students to shop for gifts for their families and friends again this year in Santa's Shoppe. This opportunity truly personifies the saying, 'it is better to give than receive' as the kids are so proud to present these gifts to people they care about. The shop will run Dec. 6th - 8th. More information will come home with your child soon. If you are interested in helping the kids shop or wrap gifts, please contact Marylin Bishop at m.bishop407@yahoo.com.

Girls On The Run
Attention parents of third, fourth, and fifth grade girls! The 2018 Girls on the Run (GOTR) program registration has begun! This fantastic program is a big hit with our girls every year. We are in need of coaches for the Tuesday/Thursday team.
