Operation Give-Back

Students at Brown School have accepted a challenge! Dr. Tara Scharich of Fully Alive Chiropractic is offering to buy back Halloween candy at $1 per pound, up to 5 pounds, to send to our troops through a partnership with Operation Gratitude. She is also offering buy books from our book fair for the classroom library of the class with the highest rate of participation.  If you have unwrapped candy that you are willing to donate to our troops, please visit Fully Alive Chiropractic (2600 Lincoln Ave. in St. Joe) on Monday or Tuesday evening from 4-6 p.m.

Supporting a Growth Mindset

Ask your child everyday.
You may have noticed several signs and bulletin boards around the school that support the notion of a cultivating a growth mindset in our students.  At Brown School, we collectively believe that all students can learn at high levels and it is our mission to empower them to do so.  The work of Carol Dweck around growth mindset guides our purpose. Learn more about this concept here.

Parking Lot Reminders
Please respect the tight time schedules of all of our Brown School families and remember the importance of keeping the drop-off line moving in the morning.  It is imperative that you park in a space if you are planning to get out of the car and/or walk your child into the school.  If you are dropping your child off, please pull up to the curb, say a quick goodbye, and have your child exit the passenger side of the car for safety.  Thank you for your help in ensuring our line moves quickly so that the shuttle bus is able to pull up to the curb on time.
