News for the Week of March 15, 2021

This week's P2 character strength is "Love of Learning".  Developing an intrinsic motivation within our students to learn & discover new concepts with enthusiasm is always our goal as educators.

Our teaching staff will model this love of professional growth and development on Monday as they embark in learning and reflection together. Thank you for supporting this time and for partnering with us to develop this love of learning in your child.

As you know our dedicated PTO sponsors countless programs and enrichment opportunities for our students each year. This is thanks to the generosity of our families during our annual walk-a-thon fundraiser, as well as the many hours our volunteers dedicate to our school's mission to Inspire. Innovate. Achieve.

The donations collected during the annual walk-a-thon event fund the PTO's operating budget for the following school year. Like most things this year, this event has to look a bit different. While we would typically celebrate with a school-wide event in the fall, that was not possible due to COVID-19 safety protocols. Our committee of dedicated parent volunteers reinvented the annual fundraiser to include the opportunity for families to contribute to our PTO's annual budget to ensure programming is maintained for the 2021-2022 school year. Details about how your family can help will be sent home on Friday. Please join us at our 12:00 p.m. virtual PTO meeting on Tuesday, March 16th to learn more. Thank you for your continued dedication to our amazing school!

Daily Screener
Thank you for your continued adherence to our daily screening guide posted on our district's website before sending your child to school. If he/she is exhibiting any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, they must stay home. It is imperative that we work together to safe safe so that we can stay together.

If someone in your home is awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, all students need to stay home from school until the results are in. Thank you for your attention to this.

Plans to Relocate?
If your family is planning to move this summer & your child(ren) will not be attending SJPS, please notify our school office. This is important information for us as we begin to anticipate fall enrollment numbers. Thank you!
