We want to thank you for your patience with transportation and drop-off/pick-up routines this past week. As we work to teach procedures and travel around construction, traffic hasn't been moving as quickly as it typically does. We are confident things will be more efficient this week with a few reminders and additional practice. As a reminder, here are the maps:
If you are picking your child up at the office entrance, please be sure to stay clear of the benches in front of the school as best you can so that we can line students up and have them move to the painted bear paws. Please also help to remind him/her to watch for your vehicle. Rear view tags are essential to keep traffic moving. If you have not signed up for one, please do so by clicking here (families who walk up to get students do not need one).
During morning drop-off, please be sure your child is ready to hop out of the car as you approach the drop-off zone. Together, we will get everyone to where they need to be safely and more quickly. Thank you for your assistance and patience.
Lunch Menu for the Week of September 13th
Due to the supply chain issues we are having with our vendors and food outages we will be providing a one week menu on our website and Principal blogs on the Friday before the next week. This will alleviate us having to make constant changes to a monthly menu and keep you better informed.
9/13/21 – Chicken patty sandwich, sweet potato tots, fruit choice and milk
9/14/21 – Mini pancakes, vegetable choice, sausage patty, fruit choice and milk
9/15/21 – Cheese pizza, corn, fruit choice and milk
9/16/21 – Hot Ham & Cheese, Sun Chips, carrot sticks, fruit choice and milk
9/17/21 – Macaroni &Cheese, green beans, fruit choice and milk
Back to School Night
Partnering with families to ensure a positive school experience is a top priority for our staff. We look forward to beginning this partnership on the evening of September 20th during our Back to School Night event. Important information will be presented by your child's teacher, setting him/her up for success this school year. This adult-only event is for parents/guardians of first-fifth graders & students in ECDD. Please see the schedule below for session times.

Please note that parking may be a challenge. We suggest that you carpool or walk, if that is an option for you. Feel free to use any parking lot around the school. All of our entry doors will be open that evening.

Student Support Aide (full time - 7 hours per day, 5 days per week)

Parent-Teacher Conferences are being scheduled throughout the month of October and into November. We have 4 half-days dedicated to conference time, however, your child's teacher may schedule a conference with you anytime between October 10th and November 8th. You will have the option to schedule this conference as a face-to-face meeting or a virtual connection using Google Meet. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher with any questions.

All students will spend time during daily morning meetings intentionally working to build their 24 character strengths through our partnership with the Positivity Project. Please check out the video below to learn more about this amazing program.
We are looking forward to kicking off the week with our first P2 character strength of the year "curiosity". We encourage you to visit the P2 Family Site to learn more and to discuss the weekly strength focus with your child(ren). The password is "P2". Announcements
Art room
Due to the loss of some supplies over the summer, the art room could use donations of yarn. There are no restrictions on color, texture, weight or even length - anything will do. If you are a crafter or knitter and need to thin your yarn collection, consider sending your remnants to the art room! While yarn is the biggest need right now, they could also use Kleenex, Clorox Wipes, baby wipes, small paper plates (leftovers from the holidays are fine, and Q-tips.
Bear Wear Sales
Bear Wear sales will start Monday September 13 and run through Monday September 27. Visit the online sales page here https://bes2021fall.orderpromos.com/. Orders will be delivered to the school at the end of October. Let’s go Bears!

In order to visit our classrooms, you must have a background check on file annually. If you anticipate joining us throughout out the school year, please complete the form linked here and return it to our school office.
