We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our media center staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our winter Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from April 18-22 in our school library/media centers.
We will host a Family Night! Plan on stopping by on Monday, April 18th from 5:30-7:30 to pick up your books!
Students will have opportunities to purchase books throughout the week at their scheduled library time or during recess breaks.
You can view the digital flyer here. Talk it over with your child to see if purchasing books will be part of your family’s plan this time.
Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too! Cash, checks, and credit cards will also be accepted.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also b
enefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping. We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the Book Fair.

Book Fair
Hi Brown School Families! The Spring Book Fair is coming next week! There will be something for everyone! Our family night will be on Monday, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
If you would like to open an E-Wallet for your student, you can do so by going to the Book Fair website. This works like a gift card, so the student will not have to bring cash to school.
If you have already created an E-Wallet for your student and have remaining funds from the last book fair, you will need to visit the website and reactivate the account. Be sure and log in using the same email as you used to create the original E-Wallet.

There are still some open spots if you would like to volunteer to help at the book fair, please take a look at this document and see what times are available on the April Book Fair Tab. Remember, you must have a volunteer background check on file to work at the fair.
If you have any questions, please contact jberry2@stjoebears.com
We hope to see you at the Fair!

Elementary Track Meet Returns!
The elementary track meet returns on May 6th (rain date May 13th)! This is an annual competition between the three district elementary schools and is always a highlight of the spring. We will need 20 volunteers to help out that day from 10am-about 3pm. Responsibilities will include facilitating event stations such as long-jump, shot put, and sprints. Training/instructions will be provided by the PE teachers prior to students arriving the day of the event.
This event is not well-suited for siblings to attend in a volunteer capacity, but spectators are always welcome!
To volunteer, please fill out the form here: Elementary Track Meet Volunteers

Mr. Joe Rommel, incoming Brown School Principal, plans to join us at Tuesday evening's meeting. We look forward to introducing you to your next building leader.
Let's show our educators they are appreciated!
We want to share your stories about how our educators have shown support and dedication to our students. We are looking for stories about all education personnel – teachers, bus drivers, school lunch staff, paraprofessionals, custodians, coaches, librarians, administrative assistants, and anyone who is an important part of a student’s educational success.
To submit a story about a St. Joseph educator that has made a lasting impact on a student, please send story background, participant names, relevant pictures, and any pertinent information including quotes and specific story elements to Kelly Gaideski, Campaign Contact, at kgaideski@sjschools.org.
Our Brown School classroom teachers have important information to share with our families. Please click on your child's class below to view weekly updates.
