Our Thanksgiving Luncheon is this Tuesday, November 20th. This event is for students only. Students are encouraged to participate by eating hot lunch that day. Accounts will be debited at our regular lunch rate. Decorations and volunteers are being sponsored by our PTO. A special thank you goes out to Sheri Baker for organizing this special event for our students.
Our Kindergarteners will be performing a song to get us started. We will plan to record the performance and share it with families via our Brown Elementary Facebook page for those who are not at school volunteering that day.
It’s that time of year again! Our Student Council invites you to fill Santa’s sack to help those less fortunate by donating to Toys for Tots. Classrooms will be collecting donations Monday, November 26 through Friday, December 7. The two classes that bring in the most donations will receive a pizza party with Silver Beach Pizza courtesy of Chris Thompson at Farmers Insurance in Stevensville.
Donations must be new, unwrapped toys and could be for a wide age range. All donations will stay locally in the Benton Harbor/Stevensville/Saint Joseph area. We appreciate all of your support in years past and look forward to another great Holiday season. Thank you in advance for your help!
Medications at School
As a reminder, students must have a physician signed form on file in the school office for any and all prescription and non-prescribed, over-the-counter medications dispensed, per our school handbook. Please see Mrs. Codde with any questions or to obtain a release form. Thank you for your help with this.
Winter Weather
Ready or not, it looks like winter weather has arrived which means our lost and found is already growing. Please be sure your child's snow gear is clearly labeled with his/her name.
Students need to be dressed for the elements as they participate in three outdoor recesses per day. They also need to be warm as they wait before and after school.
