Young Authors and Artists

We invite all students to submit up to two works of written or visual art for submission in our annual edition of “Bear Tracks.”  Each student who submits a work will receive a copy of the booklet.  Information will be coming home with your student, but feel free to get started or to submit work by visiting our Young Authors and Artists page.

Brown Bear Credit Union

Brown Bear Credit Union, a division of Honor Credit Union, will be opening soon in the crosshall.  To view the video that was shared with students or to print copies of forms that were sent home, visit our Brown Bear Credit Union page here.  If you would only like to view the video, it is available here: Brown Bear Student Video.

PTO Grant Request

A request for a grant to fund a new 3D printer has been submitted to the PTO.  As part of the PTO, all parents and guardians are encouraged to review the proposal and provide feedback.  We have both the proposal, current feedback, and a form to submit comments or questions available here.  If you have experience with 3D printers, we would love to hear from you!

Bucks for Brown is Looking Ahead

We are looking for a few more people to round out our Bucks for Brown committee.  These roles would be in planning next year’s event and helping secure business sponsors for next year.  If you are interested, please contact Sheri Baker or Kristen Bawks.

Our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon is coming up on Tuesday, November 16. More details on volunteering will be coming soon!

Future Events

Most of our PTO events for the school year are already scheduled and can be viewed here.  If you would like to help with any of these events, you can indicate interest through our form here.

News from the Lunch Room

We would like to remind everyone that breakfast and lunch are FREE again this year to every St Joseph Public School student. Please try to remember to pre-order your student’s lunches when they are going to participate in lunch. This helps speed up the morning lunch count process. You will be allowed to order the Friday before the next week using www.sendmoneytoschool.com.

Due to the supply chain issues we are having with our vendors and food outages we will be providing a one week menu on our website and Principal blogs on the Friday before the next week. This will alleviate us having to make constant changes to a monthly menu and keep you better informed.

11/1/21 – Mini Corn Dogs, muffin, salad cup, fruit choice and milk.

11/2/21 – Pancakes, sausage, hash brown, fruit choice and milk

11/3/21 – Macaroni & Cheese, broccoli, bread stick, fruit choice and milk

11/4/21 – Hamburger, smile potatoes, baked beans, fruit choice and milk

11/5/21 – Pepperoni Cheesy Bread, corn, fruit and milk

Thank you for generously donating coats and water for our community members, Brown Families. Coats will be picked up on Monday and Tuesday will be our final day of water collection.
